10 WWE Moments That Were Cut From The Broadcast

WWE has been producing captivating pro wrestling content for over six decades, and the company adapted to the changes as years rolled by and updated its programming to match the needs of modern fans.

The company used to produce edgier content before turning PG in 2008, and as the years passed, WWE fans have witnessed some of the most iconic moments in pro wrestling history transpire inside a WWE ring.

However, there were also certain moments the company deemed not fit for public viewing due to them crossing a certain line or being unplanned botches. With that said, let's take a look at ten WWE moments that were cut from the broadcast.

10 William Regal's Unfortunate Slip

William Regal deleted segment

William Regal is one of the most respected members of the WWE roster who is currently associated with the company in a backstage role as the Vice President of Global Talent Development.

Despite not winning any major world championships in his WWE career, William Regal continued to be a vital part of WWE programming over the years and was part of some famous segments.

One such segment took place at the 2006 No Mercy PPV, where Regal was filmed wearing nothing but a towel over his waist. Unfortunately for Regal, the towel slipped away from his waist and exposed his bare body on television before the cameras quickly panned away, and WWE removed any traces of this segment on the Network or other streaming services.

9 Big E's Remark On Charlotte Flair

The New Day has captured multiple tag team championships throughout their career in WWE and recently had a run with the NXT Tag Team Championship.

The group addressed the crowd after a title loss on the December 19, 2016, episode of Raw, during which they mentioned Ric Flair wouldn't be a 16-time World Champion if he didn't lose the title 15 times.

Big E then chimed in and made a sarcastic remark siting Charlotte Flair's many championship victories, which didn't go well with the backstage officials, and they ended up removing the comment from future broadcasts and social media posts.

8 The Undertaker Hanging The Big Bossman

WrestleMania 15 saw The Undertaker take on The Big Bossman in a Hell in a Cell match. The Deadman emerged victorious in the brutal contest and extended his undefeated streak to 8-0.

However, it was what The Deadman did to his opponent after the match that became the talk of the town among the fans and got cut from the broadcast. The Brood descended onto the roof of the cell and slipped a noose to The Undertaker while securing the other end on the cell roof.

The Undertaker hung The Big Bossman on the noose and ordered the cell be lifted, leaving the Bossman dangling for his life.

Following Charlotte Flair's main roster debut in 2015, her father, The Nature Boy Ric Flair, accompanied her to the ring and acted as her on-screen manager for a brief time.

He's known for the charismatic style he portrayed over the years, but the 16-time World Champion got carried away while standing in his daughter's side as she took on Becky Lynch at Royal Rumble 2016.

To distract Lynch, Flair stopped her mid-match and gave her a big kiss. But the backstage officials didn't feel comfortable watching Flair kiss Lynch and decided to cut it from all future broadcasts.

6 Trish Stratus Barking

Following the end of her alliance with Vince McMahon in her early days in WWE, Trish Stratus had to do some embarrassing stuff on live television under the orders of the heel boss.

The segment took place on an episode of Raw in March 2001, in which McMahon ordered Trish Stratus to strip down and get on her all fours before making her bark like a dog.

Despite Vince McMahon being part of the segment, WWE officials deemed it not fit to show it to the fans and ended up deleting the clip from all future broadcasts.

5 Mickie James' Lick

Mickie James' feud with Trish Stratus, leading to their iconic WrestleMania 22 match, is still considered one of the best women's storylines in WWE history.

However, despite its success, one moment during their match at WrestleMania 22 proved too sensitive to disclose to the fans, as James' improvisation during the bout saw her putting her hands on Stratus' crotch and suggestively licking it.

Vince McMahon gave James a piece of his mind when she made her way backstage after the match and had the clip erased from history.

The female fans used to flash under the provocation of the members of the faction regularly during those days, which WWE continued to air as a censored version, but the company changed its mind and edited them out in the DVD releases and other future broadcasts.

Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle had an interesting feud over the WWE Championship as the two remained friends despite competing against each other for the title.

The storyline produced some of the most hilarious segments in WWE history, but the two took the feud to a different and bizarre level at an off-air segment in which Lesnar kissed Angle on the lips.

Angle retaliated by grabbing Lesnar's behind while making it look like he was going to hug him. The segment wasn't part of the broadcast since it took place after the show went off-air, but WWE made sure they deleted it from the network footage and YouTube channel.

2 Muhammad Hassan's Attack On The Undertaker

Muhammad Hassan was making great progress in WWE as a legitimate foreign heel and even got placed into a high-profile rivalry against The Undertaker.

It was during the storyline that Hassan ordered some masked men to attack and choke The Undertaker and carry him away in a disturbing in-ring segment. But what made it worse was that it coincided with the real-life London bombings in July 2005.

WWE's sponsors asked the company to remove the segment from any future broadcast and take Hassan off television for a while, which eventually ended his career.

1 The Live Sex Celebration

Following Edge's first WWE Championship victory at the 2006 New Year's Revolution PPV, The Rated R Superstar announced that he would hold a live sex celebration with his on-screen girlfriend Lita on Raw.

The segment took place as planned, and Edge and Lita did the unthinkable by getting close in the middle of the ring with thousands of fans watching. However, cameras captured an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction from Lita before quickly panning out.

WWE kept the segment on the broadcast but edited out the part where the malfunction occurred.
