5 Legends We're Dying To See Added (& 5 We Don't Want)

WWE 2K20 might have come under a lot of criticism for its gameplay and the fact that there were huge issues. But there can be no denying that 2K jam-packed the game with a fantastic roster.

However, as with every game, there is always more people fans want to be able to play as. Each release will always have certain names missing and the games will never feature absolutely everyone. On top of that, there are some legends fans don't want to play as, with spots being better reserved for other talents. In this list, we will look ahead at five legends we want to see added, and five we don't.

10 We Want Added: William Regal

We will kickstart the list with a British wrestling legend that fans would love to see included in 2K games moving forwards. William Regal is a very popular name amongst fans, and he is someone who had a very underrated career.

However, with NXT's prominence, Regal has only become more popular amongst fans, which is why he should be featured. As NXT grows into a bigger brand, it will have more impact on future games, so having the General Manager involved makes perfect sense. But it isn't just as a GM character people want him. Fans want to be able to play as the British brawler and mix things up with the NXT stars of today.

9 We Don't Want: Chris Benoit

Benoit

Sure, there will be some people out there who are desperate to play as Chris Benoit in a modern WWE video game. However, he is a character that 2K could never add due to the potential backlash.

The crimes that surround Chris Benoit are too severe for the game to ever add-in, no matter how popular of a wrestler he is. This would simply be far too risky of a decision for a video game to ever take. The fact WWE doesn't acknowledge Benoit or his in-ring career is a clear sign that he won't be appearing in any video games.

8 We Want Added: Chyna

WWE finally added Chyna to the game this year, but only for those willing to stump up the cash for the Deluxe Edition. While that was a great marketing tool for them, someone like Chyna would be great in the normal version of the game as well.

Now that WWE is relaxing their stance on Chyna, this is a name that should be involved this year. She's one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, and not having her in the game is not a good decision. Chyna is not only popular, but she was also a total powerhouse, which would open up the female characters to do different things within the game itself.

7 We Don't Want: Alicia Fox

Alicia Fox makes her entrance

While most wrestling fans wouldn't class Alicia Fox as a legend, her recent WWE appearances have been brandished as such. Her in-ring career is over, and WWE has used her as a 'legend' several times. While Foxy was a good hand, calling her a legend is a bit of a stretch, which is why she doesn't need to be added to the video games. Back when she was on the roster, it made sense, but now, it doesn't.

If WWE is going to be including tons of women, then having Alicia Fox is fine. But normally there aren't as many in the game, and the legends spots should go to bigger names than hers.

6 We Want Added: Chris Jericho

WWE 2K20 saw Chris Jericho removed from the series, which isn't a surprise considering he joined AEW. However, putting an old-school version of Jericho in the game isn't exactly going to promote WWE's rivals, is it?

WWE doesn't have to focus a game around him or heavily promote him as a name available. However, putting him in the game is always a good decision due to his popularity. He is also one of WWE's all-time greats, and anytime someone with as much legacy as Jericho isn't involved without a good reason, it weakens the roster.

5 We Don't Want: Jimmy Snuka

Much like Chris Benoit, issues that took place in Jimmy Snuka's life outside of the ring make it unlikely for him to be added to the game in the future. There's no doubt that Jimmy Snuka is a huge name in wrestling, which is why he would fit in the game. However, his actions outside of the ring pretty much restrict that from ever happening again. Fans just don't feel comfortable controlling a character that has been involved in such serious issues.

While some fans might be none the wiser, and others might not care, there is a good portion who do. It is always important that games don't upset fans, so leaving him out is best.

4 We Want Added: Owen Hart

One name that fans have wanted to be included for years now is Owen Hart. He's one of the greatest wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots, but because of his wife, he is never included in the games.

It is her wish that WWE doesn't mention Owen, which is why he also isn't a member of the Hall Of Fame. However, that doesn't stop the fans from wanting to see him included at some stage. He was a fantastic wrestler and is incredibly popular, and his inclusion would legitimately help sales of the game.

3 We Don't Want: A-Train

Whether he is added as Albert, A-Train, or Lord Tensai, the man behind all those characters is Matt Bloom. He was a great hand for WWE who had a really good career, but he isn't someone fans are desperate to see in the game.

Sure, he has been used in the past because of his role within NXT as the Head Coach, and that makes sense. However, do we really need to add him in as a playable character as well? He just wasn't a big enough name during his career to be someone that the game really needs to be added in. Sure, it would be easy to scan because he works for WWE, but that doesn't mean it needs to happen.

2 We Want Added: British Bulldog

It has taken over 10 years, but finally, WWE is going to induct Davey Boy Smith (a.k.a The British Bulldog) into the Hall Of Fame this year. This is something fans have wanted for years, and now it is finally taking place.

Because of that, the door is surely going to be opened for the British Bulldog to also be included in the video games. This would add another member of the Hart's to the game, and would create some dream scenarios for wrestling fans. He was one of the greatest to ever step in the ring, and hopefully, this means that fans will soon be able to relive his in-ring talents in the video game world.

1 We Don't Want: Hulk Hogan

The Immortal One has been a part of many video games over the years, however, he isn't someone that fans want to see included anymore. While there's no doubt a portion of gamers who want him involved, there's equally a big portion who do not.

Hulk Hogan was only made available in the Deluxe Edition of the game this year, which is a sign that 2K are clearly noticing the fans thoughts. His racism incident has turned a lot of fans against him, and that includes within a video game world. People simply don't want to see him involved, and at the risk of alienating customers and gamers, it is easier for 2K to simply not include him.
