Ariadne Shaffer is a renaissance woman who runs her own accounting firm. She is also a screenwriter, actor and producer. She received early experience managing a small Seattle repertory theater while still in high school. Her love of acting led her to the University of Washington’s School of Drama where she received a major in theatre.
After graduating she traveled the United States performing in a series of one-woman plays, finally settling in Los Angeles. In the City of Angels she helped establish The Sacred Fools Theater Company; she acted on stage and managed the theater’s finances as the accountant. In addition to managing money for a thriving Los Angeles theater and performing live theater, Ariadne made the film audition rounds. Her natural beauty landed her a role in one of the hottest films of 2003, Better Luck Tomorrow.
Her role in Better Luck Tomorrow rose more than eyebrows as she removed all of her clothes and performed completely in the nude. Ariadne’s spicy nude scene opened doors to other films requiring nudity. Her next role was in the nature-runs-amok homage, Frog-g-g!, where she played an environmentalist who has a steamy nude lesbian scene at the very start of the film. Her next bare outing was in the direct-to-video bomb, Beneath the Mississippi; but even her nude swimming scene could not save the horrible production. Ariadne’s next film was the much better, Sugar Boxx where we are again treated to a highly erotic naked lesbian scene.
Somewhere between all those films, an early home-made sex tape and photos were leaked of Ariadne and her boyfriend. According to some sources, the video and photos were secretly recorded by the boyfriend but others, who have watched the tape, say you can hear Ariadne ask how to turn off the camera at the end of the recording. Regardless, the sex tape seemed to have an effect on the actress and she sadly (for us) retired from doing nudity in films.
Ariadne went on to act in a few non-nude roles but now focuses her attention on raising her daughter with her high-school-sweetheart-husband, writing screen plays and running her accounting firm.
