Specify the entire path of the public key file.
For example:
(UNIX) /home/patrol/id_rsa.pub
(Windows) C:\patrol\id_rsa.pub
Note: For Windows, path must not contain space character. BMC recommends to use C:\patrol\keys directory to store key files.
In case your directory has space character use short path instead complete path. For example: C:\PROGRA~1\ instead of C:\Program Files.
Specify the entire path of the private key file.
For example:
(UNIX) /home/patrol/id_rsa
(Windows) C:\patrol\id_rsa
Note: For Windows, path must not contain space character. BMC recommends to use C:\patrol\keys directory to store key files.
In case your directory has space character use short path instead complete path. For example: C:\PROGRA~1\ instead of C:\Program Files.
Enter a comma separated list of names of the managed systems that you want to include or exclude from monitoring. Input may also be a regular expression pattern. By default all the managed systems are included for monitoring.
For example: Managedsystem1,Managedsystem2
Note: If the managed system is filtered, the managed system will not appear below the HMC hierarchy. If the Managed system is already discovered, it will be removed from the hierarchy.
Select the type of monitoring.
- Standard - This option enables monitoring of CPU, Memory, FileSystem and Network monitor types.
- Capacity - This option enables monitoring of CPU, Memory, FileSystem, Network, Swap, Disk, Virtualization monitor types.
Specify the SSH port number of LPARs to be monitored. This port will be common across all LPARs. The default port number is 22.
Note: BMC recommends to restart PATROL Agent if the port number is modified.

Enter the names of the logical partitions that you want to include or exclude from monitoring. Input may also be a regular expression pattern. By default all the logical partitions are included for monitoring.
- To separate two logical partitions use %##% string. For example:
.*lpar$%##%lpar1%##%lpar2%##%lpar3 - To identify logical partitions based on managed system, use Managed System Name:::Logical partition name. For example:
.*lpar$%##%lpar1%##%lpar2%##%Managedsystem1:::lpar3
