Professional Background
Dr. Beltran is a Medical Biochemical Geneticist. She received her medical degree at University of Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. She did her pediatric residency at University of South Alabama/Children’s
and Women’s Hospital. She then pursued her medical biochemical genetics
fellowship at Wayne State University/Children’s of Michigan.
She is one of
approximately 60 board certified medical biochemical geneticists in the United
States. She has been working at the KU Wichita Pediatric Genetics clinic since
2016. She is the only medical biochemical geneticist practicing full time in
Kansas. Her areas of specialization are metabolic conditions and
neurodevelopmental syndromes.
