Association Recognizes Best in the Industry for Safety, Education & Scares
SALT LAKE CITY, UT / ACCESSWIRE / September 18, 2023 / Halloween merchandise is in stores, pumpkin spice is everywhere, and the leaves are starting to turn, all pointing to - Haunted House Season! Each year, the Haunted Attraction Association, the only official association in the haunted house industry, names the "Top Haunted Attractions" across the country. To be designated, attractions must be recognized as a member of H.A.A. while also satisfying a list of 10 criteria related to the mission of H.A.A. - to protect customers, promote haunted attractions, and educate industry experts and employees.

"Haunted houses are a fun Halloween tradition," said H.A.A. President Spencer Terry of Fear Factory Haunted Attraction in Salt Lake City, Utah. "Visitor safety will always be our number one priority, even before thrills and scares." The Top Haunts certification rewards attractions that have been in operation for at least 10 years and are not only leaders in delivering some of the best scares in the business, but also in setting the bar high for best practices in safety. "We're proud to see these attractions step up to meet the requirements of this national award, to not only be the best, but to also dedicate themselves to safety," said Brett Molitor, Top Haunts Director and former President of H.A.A. of Hysterium Haunted Attraction in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
