KU School of Medicine-Wichita OB-GYN Residency Program Application Process

The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita OB-GYN Residency Program recruits five PGY-1 positions per academic year.

We will be following the CREOG/APGO specialty-wide standards for the residency application and interview process. More information and a FAQ about the standards can be found here. Our program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service. Applications are accepted by electronic filing only.

We will follow the APGO and CREOG revised timeline for the 2024 application cycle:

Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a member of your medical school's obstetrics and gynecology department
- One letter of recommendation is required for review of application*

*Denotes items that must be received before an application will be reviewed.

Applicants are reviewed based on academic record, professional background, personal qualities, recommendations and interviews. The rank list is reviewed in a meeting that includes faculty and residents prior to its submission to the NRMP.

The Interview

Invitations are extended via the ERAS system. Candidates selected for interviews will have an opportunity to virtually meet with faculty, residents and staff on their interview day.
