People aren't over-sensitive to something that's been historically rooted in their society for 400+ years. Systemic racism factors into many POC lives, as its seen in education, police brutality, housing, hiring discrimination, colorism, public health equity, job opportunities, and more; it is in a lot of things, globally as well since racism isn't restricted to the Americas, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. While we've made strides since the civil rights era (yay for being able to drink from the same water fountains), there's still a lot more that needs to be done before POC's lives are as valued and respected as they should be.
