Richa Chadha opens up about her interfaith marriage with Ali Fazal

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha were lawfully wed in 2020, and they celebrated their wedding in 2022. The Special Marriage Act was used to legally register the couple's marriage despite their differing religious backgrounds. In a recent interview, Richa discussed her and Ali's interfaith union. Richa and Ali will soon be featured in a documentary about their wedding called RiAlity. The Fukrey 3 actor claimed that both of their families were liberal and that they were not subject to any pressure from them.

She stated: “We got married under the Special Marriage Act, the family court is right around the corner. And it was super peaceful. And I don’t think it’s out of the ordinary. It happens in society, which is why there is a very big act for it. Of course, I feel like media really makes these kinds of things, it’s actually terrible and is very corrosive for society.”
On the Fukrey set, Richa and Ali got to know one another for the first time before falling in love. Because of the pandemic, the couple was forced to postpone their 2020 wedding. Although they were formally wed at that time, they chose to celebrate their nuptials with loved ones in 2022. Ali earlier stated in a statement on their wedding documentary, “RiAlity is a testament to the fact that love is not always perfect, but it is always enough .
