Curveball! This movie is mostly forgotten, but it's actually a really sharp and fun mix of a teen-focused adventure movie and a satire of (cliche, yes) capitalism/consumerism shortcomngs. The basic hook? State-of-the-art toys end up getting implanted with state-of-the-art military technology and AI. Whoops! Except in this situation, the G.I. Joe-type toys are the bad guys, and the Outcasts are the good guys. The very fun cast also includes David Cross, Jay Mohr, Denis Leary, and the late Phil Hartman, while the toys are voiced by Tommy Lee Jones, Frank Langella, and many other notable names.
