Who Is Justin Rose’s Caddie?

Who Is Justin Rose's Caddie?

Since 2019, Justin Rose has had several caddies. At the start of that year, his long-time caddie Mark ’Foochy’ Fulcher had heart surgery, prompting Rose to team up with Henrik Stenson’s former bagman Gareth Lord.

The 2013 US Open winner made another change in 2021, turning to David Clark, who was with Rose for a while. Clark brought a wealth of experience, having caddied for some of the biggest names in golf, including Adam Scott, Vijay Singh and Paul Casey

The two initially teamed up in 2005, and Rose considers Clark one of his best friends. Clark sees that close relationship as a positive. In a 2021 PGA Tour interview, he explained: “I can say stuff to him that other people might not feel they can say to him.”

Rose backed that sentiment up, saying: “I think his greatest attribute to me is knowing me – keeping me loose, keeping me having fun. There’s no doubt that if you’re a little bit more relaxed and a little bit more playful out there on the golf course you probably access and tap into your best golf a little bit easier than if you’re super-intense or a little bit dry. You could have a caddie who’s giving you great data, but you want someone to come in who’s going to inspire you or say something at the right time – make you laugh, make you smile.”

Clark agreed with Rose’s assessment, saying: “That is one thing I think I help players with – loosening them up and being happy and trying to just take them away from what they’re trying to do out there.”

However Rose is now currently working with a man called Josh Cassell. Cassell brings many years of experience to the role and has been caddying on Tour since 2000. Previously, he has worked with professionals like Jason Dufner, Billy Horschel, John Senden, Paul Gow, Aaron Baddeley, Geoff Ogilvy and most recently Daniel Berger.

We are unsure when Rose and Cassell specifically started working together or when Clark and Rose stopped their partnership.

How Much Does Justin Rose’s Caddie Make?

Despite not finding his best form in recent years, Justin Rose still has impressive career earnings, with around $56m. Meanwhile, he still earns comfortably over $1m a year, making $1.4m in 2021-22 and nearly $3m in 2023.

We believe PGA caddies earn between $1500 to $3000 per tournament, plus a percentage of winnings of between five and 10%.
